Merry Winter Solstice!

A very merry Winter Solstice to all my fellow pagans. The darkness is ending and the light is returning - from now on the days will get longer.
The festivities have begun. For the next twelve days the partying, feasting and drinking will not stop.
I'm just about to indulge in a glass of wine and a piece of rich fruit cake. Feel free to join in!

"Ring around the Stonehenge"....Druids galore... Pagan Earth fertility rituals, celebrations of the fruit of the vine.
Sounds great to me...but I'm thinking 365, not 12.

I'm 1-1/2 beers in already, Fuzzy. I've partaken of the rotisserie chicken, the potato wedges, the garlic bread, watched 3 medieval movies in a row (The Knights of Bloodsteel, Merlin and the Book of Beasts and Tristan and Isolde)...just taking a break, so I don't fall asleep yet (I'm not use to drinking). Merry Solstice, my friend!

Sadly, Stonehenge is out of bounds thanks to those fascist pigs who think people shouldn't go somewhere which has been a gathering place for 4500 years (people gathered there even before SH was built)...
Unless you want to pay £6.60 entrance fee...
However, as the winter solstice was at 23:38 on the 21st and opening times are 09:30 - 16:00 the whole question of access is moot.
Nice to see someone enjoying the festivities. Not sure about the movies though!
