dxFriend v0.97 Released
Wednesday, October 17, 2001 by [brazen weep] | Discussion: WinCustomize News
Hi everyone. sysFriend has been updated again.
You use sysFriend to create sysFriend files, which are scripts containing a list of sysFriend commands. These commands allow you to automatically perform steps and tasks you normally have to do manually, or may not even be able to do at all currently. When you save and then run a sysFriend file, you can have it open multiple programs for you, set their size and positions on the screen, open other Windows special control panel and dialog boxes, capture screenshots, and a lot more!
Use sysFriend and set up a shortcut to perform what usually takes you many steps manually to do. Do you often open the same programs at once? Do you need to set the screensaver temporarily inactive before you run something? There's a ton you can do...
For use with DesktopX, ObjectBar, LiteStep, or even good old Windows
Files are saved with the extension ".Friend" - so you just double-click on these files OR link to them using your favorite desktop environment to run your Friends!- Run command is updated! You can now run any file/program and have it open to a size/position you specify using the same command. If you wish, you can now specify the X, Y, Width, and Height of the window when you use a Run command.
- Send Mail command added - does the same thing as a 'Run mailto:[email protected]' Enter an email address and open a user's e-mail program with a new e-mail pre-addressed.
- Added MessageBox command - open simple message dialogs in your Friend, allowing you to optionally cancel the current Friend or skip the next line in the current Friend.
- Added SetMousePos - used to set the mouse pointer to an X,Y point on the screen or to the control with the current focus.
- Added ClickMouse - use it to simulate mouse clicks on the screen. Specify X.Y point, CurrentMousePosition, or the control that currently has the focus.
- Updated some of the UI code to fix little annoying things.
- Help is being worked on gradually, as you'll see in this version.
