Tuesday, December 15, 2009 by Philly0381 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I'm sure this has been done many times before but what is you favorite Holiday movie that you would recommend people to watch?

There are lots of them, White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life and who could forget Christmas Story.  New or old, it doesnt' make a difference, got more than one, all the better.  I gave you four of mine, lets see your list.

Have a very Happy Holidays and a Great New Years.

well for us xmas would not be xmas without the film "a christmas carol"

there have been many versions over the years but our favourite was the 1984 version starring george c scott as ebeneezer scrooge. we always watch this film xmas eve afternoon. george c indeed played the character magnificently and his version will be very hard to beat.

and whatever happened to the usual james bond film on xmas day afternoon?

whatever you're watching this xmas i hope your xmas is a happy and peaceful one.

Elf!  I laugh every time.  Plus it has sentimental value to me because of the first time I saw it.

I'm not really into Christmas holiday movies that much.  Most of them have been on TV dozens of times and I find it hard sitting in front of something I've seen several times before, and often not through choice.

I remember as a kid growing up in England, my father would put White Christmas (and others) on every year, and given it was often too cold to go outside - wasn't allowed to go outside - there was little else to do but watch TV and all the seasonal movies/shows.

That all changed when I became a teenager... when the telly went on during Christmas, I went out... to avoid yet another repeat and dad saying: "Ere, 'ere, listen to this", and: "Watch this bit", and: "The best bit is on next.", and: "If you can't sit still and be quiet, go to your room."

Yeah, sorta turned me into a bit of a Grinch.

However, I don't mind Bill Murray's version of a Christmas Carol, and the Home Alone movies are always great for a laugh... and the National Lampoons Christmas vacation is ok every other year.

Merry Christmas everyone. eggnogs  all 'round.
