Did Nimda worm set itself for a return today?
Be on the lookout today--for your own computer and those around you. Computer virus researchers are warning that the Nimda worm, which caused mischief last week, may be in for a return engagement. What's behind the possible resurgence? Researchers have found a "timer" code in the worm that could reactivate it 10 days from the start of its outbreak on Sept. 18. That means a renewed propagation might have been timed to start sometime on Thursday, with occurrences following the sun around the world. Security experts weren't anticipating an outbreak of the same scale as last week's, when some 150,000 systems were affected. Still, they surmised that some individual users and companies would be caught unawares. Go to the full story by Eric Luening.

I hope that everyone reading this is using an anto-virus program. If you are not, you can get McAfee anti-virus right from the Wincustomize link. You owe it to yourself and everyone that you e-mail with and work with, to protect your files.
