problem with sysmetrix

Some Themes Will Not Load

I'm having a problem with sysmetrix that I can't figure out. After I download a new theme from wincustomize, I then Import the theme into the sysmetrix manager. So far everything works fine, the problem begins when I try to load the theme. As soon as I click "Load", my mouse cursor turns into the "hour glass" look - just as if the theme was just trying to load itself onto my desktop. But nothing happens, the theme never loads, the hour glass just stays permanently - until I open up my Task Manager and click on End Process.  But the weird thing is that I'm not having this problem with all of my themes. It's only when I try to load certain themes. It's like a guessing game as to which theme will work - so far I've downloaded about 30 themes and 10 of those just will not load. Please help me figure out how to fix this.
 
Here's some info that might help:
 
I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 Laptop with Windows XP SP3
 
I have 2 GB of RAM
 
I have a current version of SysMetrix

I would contact the author directly to let him know about the problem, maybe they can fix it for you if you ask nicely

does it occur with every theme including the default one?

There's probably some similarity to the theme's that don't work like weather meters or media players that hte one's that do work don't have.

Not likely to work........I'm pretty sure Decker abandoned the program. Even though the site's still up, he hasn't posted anything since early 2007 and never released a Vista version. The program doesn't support multiple core processors or more than 2gb's ram. You're better off moving to either Rainmeter or Samurize or just using DX gadgets.

I agree with Lantec, i emailed him recently and asked about a vista 64 bit version, no response....

I wont be creating anymore sysmetrix skins........which is a pity cause i LUV sysmetrix
