Looks like you are in for a long wait. The package hasn't even been sent to California or Alaska yet!

...and then there is Mexico, Canada.....Europe.....

I love it!!!    ...but no it isn't...actually it is a *Woot* tshirt....well who knows what it will be if and when it gets here!!!

...I think they do that quite often, Fedex takes it so far and then hands it over to the Post Office...kind of like *hot potato* remember that game?

Yes Doc, I called Fedex, they informed me it is the Post Offices fault...I called the 800 number for the PO, and the lady was great, she took down the info and said someone would get back to me.  That someone is my local Postmaster ( we have a  very small Post office, only the Postmaster ).  She can't really do anything, and she herself has a package that is hung up in Colorado for the past nine days.  Also was Fedex..

  You've got that right!!!

And my local postmaster (Goodna Qld Oz) recalls a package for a "TBC"... said it was en-route to Sydney NSW before heading to Auckland New Zealand.

Apparently the problem has been the TBC.... when nobody goes in to pick it up, it's forwarded somewhere else 'to be collected'.

Was this package addressed to TBC or to Prof. Henry Higgins?

You should just call and ask them to hold it there in Texas... going to collect the package yourself would probably be quicker...

... not to mention stopping using up all your frequent flyer points before it flies out to Alaska.

Edit:

This reminds me of a feel good story I saw on the 6 o'clock news a couple of years back.  A man who served in the British army during WW II had a letter his wife had written in 1943 finally delivered in 2006... after it had been to Egypt, Malaya, Papua New Guinea and Singapore, etecetera, etcetera.  He moved around a lot in his post and the letter always arrived after he had been posted elsewhere... apparently becoming lost in Burma or somewhere.  Both he and his wife still were alive when it was finally delivered by British Post: "Return to Sender".

They said that after a few giggles they relived some old memories... the letter contained news of the birth of their first child.

...

That would be "My Fair Lady" if my old mind serves correctly...
Which was made 2 years before I entered the world.

Damn tags don't work right here...

You're absolutely correct!

The reference should have been to Phineas Fogg.

Yet another sign that Doc is headed for the main entrance to "Club Al".

Ah!  So you have the other half?   Auckland GPO has been searching high and low for it.

Thanks guys but it seems the package will forever be in Coppell, Texas.  It is the last place it was scanned, and when I called that Post Office , they had no idea where it was.  I emailed the WOOT  site, and they are refunding my money.

Bummer!

At least they're giving you a refund. I really don't like it when crumby things happen to friends.

You know, if try again it probably will go well....
