Following the thread it looks like there will be a peaceful resolution to this, so hold of on giving grief to this individual in the hope they keep their promise, lest we make the situation worse.

I am new to all this skinning business, but I do love and admire the people who can do this so well. If this person needs to take another skinners material, maybe they should get into another profession!!!!!Not trying to create any hate or discontent, but jeez. There is nothing I have worse than someone who has to piggyback someone else to try to look good.

So "IT" thinks that the response to "ITS" ripping of treetog's skin is childish!
Well I think that "IT's" right. Just like it is stupid to protest or complain if someone steals your ideas or your work and gets a promotion or a raise over you at work.
If "IT" can live with being a doormat at work, then "IT" has a right to call the protest against ripping childish.

I'm not a skinner, but I do work in other forms of creative media. Bad enough someone would copy another's work so blatantly with permission. But WinAmp's handling of the matter is also pretty bad. I'm trying out CoolPlayer now. I've pretty much decided I'm going to keep it and dump WinAmp.
Besides, at least here I can browse through skins and not have to worry about what my kids might see if they're looking over my shoulder.

Just a heads-up....the offending skin 'Spunkit' has been removed from Winamp by Angela, the person who posted it.
She has apologized for her 'out of character' mis-deeds and deportment, and once Nullsoft puts in place an efficient system for policing future transgressions of this ilk, the skinning world will be a happier place.

Come on man, you can't really be serious can you? If Renato (Treetog) wanted his skin posted here, I am sure he would have done so.
By you posting it here, you've tarnished your own name. Perhaps you didn't realize how many friends he has in the Skinning community and the backlash that it would create. Perhaps you would consider yanking the damn skin now before this goes any further.
