Okay, I'm going to play dumb crae here, but what is THE ShockWave (no, I haven't seen the site yet)?

The only shockwave I know is the format used for Director movies on the net. And we all know Director's made by MacroMedia, who're swimming in money, so that's not the shockwave meant here...

Hmm, better check that site anyway...

"Sorry, browser not supported"... Quite the professional attitude. Seems like the shockwave I was thinking about though. Odd...

It's not a rumor! They've fired over 170 employees, which is just about 100% of their work force!

And yes, the one and only shockwave.com

Oh but I don't believe they're going "out of business." Sorry for the staff they laid off though. As far as I know, they're doing a business restructure.

Oh forgot to mention.
Craeonics, shockwave.com is actually a spin-off of macromedia. It's a merger of Atom Films (bought by macromedia) and Shockwave (now Atom-Shockwave). Macromedia continues to make software to produce shockwave media regardless.

Anyway, the point is don't worry about it.
