For those of you that are interested, the Office 2010 beta has been release.
You can get it at the link or via your download section if your a Technet subscriber. It looks pretty cool and there's a 64 bit edition availible also.

Actually? The install Borked (Error 1935) on two separate downloads (from Technet) and delete/reboot.
Shelby GT...says his was missing several important parts compared to Office 2007 Pro Plus which we both have.
Thanx for the notice, Cars...but decided two failed installations and Shelby's conversation convinced me to forget it.

Office2000 (with Outlook 2003) still hummin' along fine here, does everything I need (and lots I don't). Only reason OL2003 (which I hate, BTW - OL2000 was much cleaner) installed is for MobileMe/iPhone sync.

If you're an OpenOffice user and don't already know, LibreOffice is essentially the heart, soul, and refuge of OpenOffice after Oracle made it quite clear that they would reduce support for development. I fully expect LO to be packaged with Ubuntu in place of OO in the near future.

I'm a regular Office user but have great respect for what OO and LO do.

Just recently installed Libre 3.3 after hearing from DrJBHL that Oracle had taken over Open Office. I use Oo for all my documents, especially for my book. Now I got Lo in its place and its still a freebie whereas Microstuff's Office isn't.
