I just want to take a moment to give a personal statement of thanks and appreciation to the many members of the American military who were or are in uniform protecting our country and our freedom. It is you who are my person heroes.

I salute all of our brave men and women who serve a higher calling.

My salute as well. Granted, I was in the IDF, not the American Armed Sevices, but brothers are brothers. I am a grateful citizen: Grateful to all that stand in harm's way.
Let's not forget their families in our salute and "Thank you"'s. Excellent OP.

Having served and made a career of Military and government service I appreciate the thoughts and words af all.
There isn't a day that goes by, even understanding what does go on in the world and why, that after all the Wars and Conflicts, the lost Fathers, Sons, Daughters, Wifes and Mothers that we still haven't been able to figure it all out.
We have always been told that the only thing that is constant in our lives is change. When will the World change on it's acceptance of Wars?

I extend my deepest gratitude to all soldiers who have served and are serving, and ALSO to their families, without whom the soldiers could not perform at their best. **SALUTE**

Our country has a new Victoria Cross recipient... a SAS officer who was serving in Afghanistan.
I guess that says it all, really.
