New Live Messenger and WB

For Neil

Saturday, November 7, 2009 by vStyler | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Neil..

As you may know the entire planet has been forced into using the latest version of Windows Live Messenger (MSN)

Prior to this release on WLM 8.5, Messenger was using WB frames, always has,  but now... on XP it is using the lame Microsoft bitmapped, opaque, non dropshadowed frames, which honestly are quite horrible...Shown above.

Now... on Vista and 7, MSN is using Aero or WB frames correctly, it looks normal like it used to on XP... but after installing the latest Live messenger on XP they look like the image above.

Please PLEASE tell me you can get this remedied back to using WB frames in XP again. Lots of people still use XP.

Thanks man.

Yeah getting the same thing here.

Also just went through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling messenger on my XP machine in hopes that they may have updated something in either program that would stop me from getting the Windows Live Communication Platform crash that I've been getting for months when using WLM on XP with WB running. Unfortunately not.

I totally agree, the new Windows Live Messenger that we have all been forced to upgrade to definitely needs to use WB frames (I hope, I hope)!

Thank you for pointing this out. The other day I spent hours by my XP-computer trying to figure out what I might have done wrong. I also uninstalled MSN and reinstalled it, but nothing helped. It looks terrible. Now at least, I know that there´s nothing wrong with my computer.

How was asking a tongue-in-cheek question not being civil??

And you've never posted an off-topic comment for a bit of fun??

Lighten up.

Its not that.. In case you werent aware , Piece of ass is a derogatory term to most women. The ones I know anyway.

I'd prefer the thread not getting gutterized like so many others do here.

Thanks for bumping.
