windows update, blaming window blinds??

i recently tried to use windows update on vista, and got a 'page failed to load' i went online and some people were saying that windowsblinds is responsible....(i find this hard to believe....) they also said after updating windowblinds, the microsoft windows update page worked again.
my update page still dosent work, but i still dont believe that windowblinds would be the cause of it, any suggestions?
