ParetoLogic

I downloaded software from this place and now even though I've uninstalled it and wiped it from the regestry and manually removed the folder from Program Files, it still has a pop up now and then that says Pareto Update. It flashes for a second and it's gone. Anybody know how to get it completely off my machine?

found so far:

several places with this:

In some cases after the ParetoLogic software has been uninstalled the updater service entries in as the Windows scheduled tasks.

To open Scheduled Tasks, click Start, click All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks. Search the list of Windows Scheduled Tasks of entries associated with the ‘Pareto Update’ or ‘Pareto UNS’. Delete these entries

and this one from majorgeeks which involves the use of HJT:

The weird thing is when I go to task scheduler, I don't have a delete command there in the actions panel. I can't delete the dang thing! I wonder if HJT would work on this?

UPDATE: I went to the Major Geeks page you suggested and there was a list of places where these files could be, so I dug down through those folders and found and deleted the files and now they don't show in the task scheduler pane. We'll see what happens now....

NEW UPDATE:  I had no sooner written this and closed the page than it popped up again!!!!

I don't see that it's causing any real problems, other than popping up for a split second. But I KNOW it's there and it shouldn't be!

I'm getting Win7 as soon as it's out, do you think installing that will get rid of this "thing"?
