Command Bar Buttons and Captions Text
Updated with another question.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand now I know why a dark theme is a pain in the rear for Vista...
Anyone have some insight to this area for me to consider? Dark theme, should be enough said there.
Also, is there a way to get rid of or adjust the glowy effect around text on the borders / caption?

Captions/text on the command bar are controlled by the window background color. one cannot change the font itself. It's just one of many stupid design issues with vista. ![]()

Here is the window caption. It has some crazy glow. Im not sure how to get rid of it. Please ignore my start button LOL

Here, ive highlighed the folder bar and the command bars. I removed my current "button" images from it and it seems ok. But the problem is since these use the menu background colors i cant really get a color for those bar buttons that I want. I actually kind of like it how it is now though with the defaults. Also, am I correct in assuming the Folders bar text there is using "hyperlink" colors?

Ive also just noticed this in Firefox 3.5.3. Is this a known issue or is there a workd around? The problem if not apparent is the big fat line going down the middle on the left.

THe glow is just a text shadow that you need to remove
The folders bar text cannot be changed.
The bar in firefox menu cannot be removed.

Right-o. Thanks. ![]()
Is the bar a issue Mozilla needs to solve (if they wanted to that is) or is a WB issue that can one day be solved?

I usually use a custom theme for firefox when using dark blinds like that. Firefox uses a combination of clasic color menus and the IE favorites menu
. Depending on the blind, it makes some menus very hard to read

Winestripe Realfox is the best theme to show the maximum amount of WB elements in Firefox.
I recommend giving it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion. Didnt make to much a diff though with my theme. Looks pretty much the same when it comes to my skin. Owell. A part of the skinning goodness I have to live with.

Actually, It's not. I'm building a dark theme now, and I've had zero problems. What's up? Can you post a screen shot with your explanation?
