WindowBlinds7 custom colors functionality limited?

No custom substyles?

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 by peterzeke1 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Prior to WindowBlinds7 a user could change the colors of just about anything in a given windowblind. For example, if a given skin was originally authored to have a black window with white text, I could change those settings so that the window color would be white and the text black. If I wanted to change just the "button face" color, I could easily customize just the "button face". Heck, I could even adjust how light/dark the entire skin is.

Ultimately, previous versions of WindowBlinds allowed a user to create their own custom substyles.

But in WindowBlinds 7, it appears a lot of user-customization has be stripped out. Changing colors of a skin is now globally done to everything in a given skin, or that's how it seems to me. Can't lighten/darken a skin. Can't invert colors.

So, I'm wondering if Windowblinds 7 actually has the desired customization features but I haven't yet found them?

peterzeke1....you can still use the old interface to recolor and to darken or lighten the skin. I haven't found the "Darken and Lighten" option yet in WB7 either.

Having said that, we should realize that it's a Beta, and a work in progress.

I don't doubt for a minute that it will be an option in the 'final' WB7.
