Patrick Swayze, star dies aged 57

PATRICK Swayze, star of Dirty Dancing and Ghost, has died aged 57. He had been suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Swayze's publicist Annett Wolf said the actor died today with family at his side.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," she told People in a statement. R.I.P Patrick Swayze

I loved Ghost, and Dirty Dancing and anything he did he was my idol

A truly exceptional man to the end. Sad loss for everyone, but especially his family. Rest in peace, Patrick.

An honored and strong willed actor who loved his profession and fans to the end. A great loss at too young of an age.

He was one of the most down to earth people you could ever meet. He treated everyone the same, with respect, no matter who you were. RIP

He was a fighter and I respect that. He kept working as long as he could, and I admire that about him. And, he could REALLY pull of "pretty" -- To Wong Foo was my favorite.

Yes, a very down to earth guy indeed.... humble and didn't let stardom go to his head. The fact that he didn't live the Hollywood lifestyle and remained married to his childhood sweetheart, well that says it all for me, that Patrick Swayze was a true gentleman and a great human being.
RIP Patrick Swayze.

i heard earlier today all my heart felt wishes to his family .you know he never gave up until the very end he still kept working i will miss seeing him on the screen
