Out of the mouth of babes

Thursday, September 10, 2009 by theAVMAN | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Let start by saying I grew up mostly around the ocean.I now live in Georgia about 90% land locked. However we live close to nice lake!

The other day we decided to take our girls to the lake.Beautiful sunny day air was fresh and clean. We had a great time! Before we went home we had to run by the grocery store. As we were coming into town our 4yr old says ooooohhh daddy whats that smell?I turned to look at her when our 12yr old said  "It's just the smell of society!!!!"

I thought me and my wife were gonna fall out of our seats!Ok well I thought it was halarious!!

Have a great day!

As we were coming into town our 4yr old says ooooohhh daddy whats that smell? I turned to look at her when our 12yr old said "It's just the smell of society!!!!"

I take it, then, curried cabbage was part of the picnic lunch.

My kids, on the other hand, were a little more blunt when it's asked: "What's that smell?"

We were watching TV one evening when my daughter (then 11) asked that very question.  My son (then 14) promptly answrered: "That's you... your nose is too close to your arse!"

The smell was actually coming from next door... they had fertilised their garden beds with blood and bone, and the pong was permeating the air because it had rained... I already knew this, but who was I to put the mocker on a bit of healthy sibling sarcasm.

When my daughter was about 5 she wanted a Zinger since she saw the box my wife brought back from the store.

Wife told her to bring her the box and she would open it for her.

She brought the box, wife opened it.. my kid looks in the box and all we heard was 'holy crap that's a lot of Zingers'
