Steampunk WIP

I tried posting this to the thread I started in Sneak Previews, but the category is missing and when I post to the thread I started, it doesn't show up in the forums, (or maybe I'm just really confused and can't find where it's showing up)
Here's my third mockup. I've learned many more techniques, plus I got the Wacom tablet up and running that my oldest son gave me. I'm thinking about making this a substyle, so they'll be one style that's a bit more Victorian and one that's grungy and industrial. Thoughts anyone?

Question: How's the Vista search box gonna fit in there?

If I had Vista, I might be able to figure that one out...maybe just raise the bottom of the start menu up far enough to put a search box in (?) -- as it stands, I don't know if I'll skin Vista. I'm on XP, as you know, and the last Vista substyle I did was such a pain to skin without the benefit of sight that I'm not all that motivated to try it again until such time as I'm able to upgrade
*if anybody felt generous enough to gift me with a computer with Vista, 
I'd be willing to jump right in on that....but I don't see that happening anytime soon*
I'll try to mod out what I come up with to fit Vista just for you, Seth, but as things stand right now, I don't plan on skinning Vista and uploading a Vista version here.

One of these days I'm going to have to work on why I'm so driven to people pleasing. Alright...I'll try to skin Vista. This is what I have as a mockup for the Vista start menu.
(*NOTE: I saved it as a .jpg, so the shadow came out looking way darker than it will in the final product.)
