Tomorrow morning [Friday, Aus time] I'm on a plane to the US and Canada. All things going well [the US doesn't chuck me out for being unintelligible] I'll be visiting all the great guys and gals at Stardock HQ.
Yay for me..... It's been a loooong time coming. I've known these guys for about a decade so it'll be a 'buzz' to finally catch up with them in 'Real Life' [tm].
In all of my history with skinners/skinning I've only met 3 skinners before, all of whom were from Oz, like me.....so this will likely be sensory overload [or something]...
I have a beat-up old laptop that'll hopefully keep me in contact here on my travels....and if I get a chance on the road I'll try to post the odd pic or two, but I'll likely not be on quite as frequently/long as is usual.
If you've the inclination to PM or otherwise contact me re issues with Wincustomize and/or its inhabitants it may be a better bet for the next few weeks to badger Island Dog in lieu.....[he yearns for your contact]....
Hopefully I can get one or two group mug-shots at Stardock on the 16th to show you what an ugly - er - wonderful bunch of people they all are....

Why I used to brew my own beer @ 6.6% and upward for about 15c per longneck.
More is the pity I didn't have/know the process to make my own Vegemite from the yeast left-overs.

Crumby dropped application skinning years ago, and went on to race-game graphics instead. He started/co-founded this site for that purpose. Doesn't seem very active anymore though....
But I'll hit him a note at Facebook, letting him know he's missed

Saturday....Universal Studios....all those fun H'wood bits....was enjoyable...already used to the heat...[naturally]...
Tomorrow it's off to Vancouver.....probably a bit cooler...tho my thoughts go out for the firies here in LA....have a photo which says a lot....

Day 3 ....still not King.
Vancouver looks like a pretty part of the world....might have to concede Canadian beer ain't all that bad.
Somehow I've lucked out every time with inflight videos....neither of mine have worked....Qantas and Air Canada each as bad.
Dunno if it's PC, etc.... but if you're counting your time on a trip then I'm on Beer 15 ....

Day 4 ...... beer 22 ....Boromir is looking attractive....still not King.
Vancouver is a beautiful city.....put 'politely' it's a little different to Los Angeles.....took lots of photos....still don't have a camera lead tho....hopefully I can dig up one somewhere....
Tomorrow it's on to the Red Leaf Rocky Mountaineer train trip....

Day 6 ....Jasper....beer 30 ...Gimli almost looks human.....Frodo is short....still not King.
On our way to Kanloop I had to sing the tune to First Blood....it was shot nearby....
End of the train leg....in Jasper....one day I'll be in a place that doesn't have issues with fires.....
Net is working [obviously].
If I eat any more I'll need jaws-of-life extraction from the next bus/taxi/whatever....

End of day one....sure picked a good day,,,,105f orsomething....and me straight from winter.
Been along the Boulevarde....seen the stars, etc.
Tomorrow it's Paramount Studio....
Meanwhile it's a few more beers..
Yes, Chad's still around....but we're not going that far south...
