The outlines should continue to appear with WB running.
they do for me...tho they look a little odd around the edges...I think it might be the default WIN7 shadows.Havnt really looked that close...with no visible desktop icons that feature dosnt seem useful to me.

specific window focus from the taskbar mouseover is neat tho.

IRB...I was going to tell you that the your color subsets for Knot Aero were missing but it looks like you know.

I'm looking for a better way to do that.Right now I have to include saved presets for each color, for EACH sub,for EACH OS.The list gets huge and cumbersome.

Maybe somebody can show me how to make one set of colors global for all subbs. In other words...user chooses which sub to apply and can pick any color preset without it being assigned to THAT particular sub.

Just a list of color presets that could be applied to anything.

I've experimented a little more and it seems the Show Desktop outlines are not consistently displayed even when I just use the Windows 7 Aero skin. Maybe it's related to the display driver version I'm using? I have a Nvidia 9600 GT and currently use the 186.18 drivers.

I installed the new Windows Blind 7. It says 6.5 Beta on the right side but when I push history, it says Beta 2.

My problem is that I do not seem to be able to view color changes in preview, WYSIWYG. Hss this happened to anyone or can I get some help please? Thank you.

Gary, aka skyzyk

Okay, Here's one. While in the new interface my list of windowblinds stops at the letter "I" (even after I do "rebuild List"). Also some windowblinds like Ghostshell for instance have no start panel or taskbar.

RedBuzzard: How many WB skins do you have?

What happens if you rebuild the skin list using the option under skin options?

Still the same thing. I have at least 50 or 60 Windowblinds in my directory. The old interface showed everything. Also windowblinds like 3FX show like this :

And if I say edit in skinstudio it comes up with no taskbar or start panel.

Reduced 61%

Original 940 x 718

If the skin comes up in skinstudio without a taskbar or start panel then showing the diamond ones is normal.  WB 7 expects a skin to have XP parts and if they do not exist it will use diamond instead.

It does apply correctly while in the old interface but, using the new interface the stuff that looks like it's missing loads xp classic. It only shows no taskbar or start panel in skinstudio if I tell it to edit while in the new interface. Using the old one it's fine. In other words the xp parts are there WB7 just doesn't see them on some blinds.

Like the overall look, love the new expanded thumbnail previews, color tiles selection is handy, Corporate skin is sharp. Well worth the effort of updating.

I'm noticing the same problem as skyzyk above, the color changes don't do anything. I've tried with Corporate and Miricla, both should change colors and nothing happens. I've tried all sorts of checkboxes, etc and nothing happens. Also I thought Stardock was an American company, so why does the interface have Color spelled incorrectly as Colour

Neil, can the white background in the new interface's bottom tab bar be reconsidered to something dark?

A slight update to the color change issue I mentioned in reply #75. It works fine in Vista, its in Win7 that it isn't reflecting the changes. Although I tried another skin, Miricla, that says you can do color changing but it does not do it in WB 7. I think this might be something to do with this skin since others change colors (have commented in that skins comments). A couple other notes in Vista (maybe in 7 also haven't tried) Using the menu "Skin Options" and "Install Skin", installing a skin with .wba said there was no .uis file, yet if I applied after the download from the website it loaded fine, but isn't in the WB Config listing. I've noticed this before actually just not mentioned it. However, in SDC I right clicked on the downloaded right and chose "Open", it not only applied itself (after clicking tooltip) but it appears in WB Config. So some oddity there. The small screenshot for Miricla is not complete (again may be an author issue?) The scrollbar for scrolling through skins does not move if you click in the middle of it. I can only drag the scrollbar.

...and I'm getting the dreaded 'invalid registration' notice when trying to update to WB7 B2

Been troubleshooting a bit with Zu, but still no go....

I've finally managed to get hold of Beta 2....

Had to nuke WB, reset the data in Impulse AND restart Impulse before the correct update appeared.

Why do it the easy way.....

I finally updated to the beta just now and I have the same issue. My list stopped at Psycho at first and i tried rebuilding the list 3 times before I decided to see if it was a number of skins issue. I deleted one skin and then it did show one more skin after Psycho. If I use the old interface it still shows my entire list of skins so I assume it's something in the coding of the new interface that is only allowing it to show a certain number of skins. Not sure though. Hopefully it won't be an issue for long because I really enjoy the look of the new interface and look forward to being able to use it full time with all the options. and great work on the Corporate skin danillo
