So much for my ambition

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 by k10w3 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Remember my WIP thread, (and the offers I made to help others) where I thought I would have these past 2 days to create skins -- that's been put on the back burner.  I had to take my daughter to the hospital late Monday evening/early Tuesday morning because she was having severe right upper quadrant pain -- when the CT scan of her abdomen came back, they found a grapefruit sized cyst on her ovary which was pushing all the rest of her organs into her upper abdomen -- the surgeon gave us a scare with the cancer talk, but today she had her surgery and it wasn't cancerous.  Now I have to nurse my baby back to health (she has a lot of other health-related issues that are being cared for now finally)but it's going to be a long road to recovery, so all my free time is going to be spent helping her get better and working overtime to pay for it all since she just got out of tech school and doesn't have a job and/or insurance to pay for this major abdominal surgery, and since she doesn't have children herself and is over the age of 19, she is ineligible for Medicaid.

Wow, very sorry to hear this.  Glad to hear it wasn't cancerous.  Life does have a way of interupting what we would rather be doing.  Get her well and you also take care.  We will all be thinking about you.

Ah when she's able to, sit her in front of the computer and put her to work.

Take whatever time you need, we will still be here when she is healthy again. I'll say a prayer for her speedy recovery.

Thank G-d it's benign. What matters in life is the people we love. Everything else is in last place. So, sweety...save the skin 'til later. Make sure she recovers...And don't forget how much the folks who value you care. OK?

Sorry to hear this. She is lucky to have a mom who cares enough to take care of her.

I'll be looking forward to your return..... Yes! Really, I will!

This sort of stuff always takes second (or third or fourth) place to family. I hope your daughter makes a full and rapid recovery, Karen.

Karen I know exactly how you feel, life just seems to catch you at the worst most possible moment, not eligible for medicare as she is overage, where in God's namae does make patients pay up front before we work or make them better in the Hypocratic oath, I'm just so happy that at times like this we have our Moms and Dads, cos without ours coming to the resue at our tragic accident, who knows what we would have done, so Karen your're the best thing possible in your daughters life at the moment, you will get her well....god speed, Godbless and all the prayers of the world go out to you......look after yourself as well, cos this can be trying times...love yer lots...the Thug

Thanks, everybody, for the well wishes for my daughter.  She's coming home from the hospital tomorrow.  My stress level will go down a half a point (I THINK....I don't know, maybe having her home and having to play nurse, primary caretaker, and sole income provider it will still choke me, I'm not sure, but I think it should go down a tad).
