TweakVista issues
Deintall?
Monday, July 20, 2009 by PlayerGossamer | Discussion: TweakVista & 7
I downloaded TweakVista 2 days ago and all my computer does is freeze up when I try to use it. I have been trying to deinstall the product using Programs and Features in the Control Panel, but nothing happens, even if I walk away and come back to my desktop an hour later. I am sure this program works very well for others. I got the link through Norton PC Booster and it was highly recommended. Is there a deinstall tool similar to Norton's to remove this? My system has slowed down considerably since I installed. I have also tried to go back to a restore point, but it gives me an error saying that my system cannot be restored and that no changes were made. HELP!

TweakVista is unlikely to cause the issues you've described. Using the Wizard's solution for now may be best.

Thank you. The uninstaller you recommended did the trick.

How does one reset tweaks made by Tweak Vista before uninstalling it? I find no option for that.

Download Revo Uninstaller Use it to uninstall TV with it set on "moderate" then delete only those items listed in bold text.
Revo does a far more thorough job of removing programs and any remnants than add/remove programs and is just as safe if you follow the instructions.
