Then theres this...which has unsettable text color and the mouseover is from the all progs menu item...pressed state...if you bothered to make one since they dont normally show...not to mention the states are backwards in SKS.

I say unsettable...maybe,just possibly there is a vista part color that can be changed...but I havnt seen it yet. ![]()

As far as I can tell, you're not going to see it, either. ![]()
My personal opinion is that, though dark, the black text on your dark menu is still readable, so just go ahead and leave it. Either that, or change the menu to something lighter.
Ahh, the joys of skinning Veesta! ![]()

Not to go off sub here, but I almost just deleted the wrong substyle in my blind I'm working on.
I had the same problem Mirsguy had with that max window.
Xiandi and I fixed it.

Not so good there...and I am not changing every single menu in vista to make that ONE work...so far best I can do is make the mouseover(scuse me PRESSED state)of the all progs menu item lite enough to read on mouseover...a poor compromise.
A lite substyle for the whole skin is also being made so maybe for that one I can compromise further and make new menus.(where they wont stick out so much)

About this type of menu there is a way for change the position of the icons?
See my window:

Because in the normal menu the result is correct:

No sorry, bad image, i've understand that the problem in the menu is not referred at the normal popup menu but at the start-popup menu, if i don't found a way for move the icons i must change the start popup menu ![]()
EDIT: I've found the solution ![]()

how about this goofy menu?

Still dosnt get the text colors right...and it buggers with the status bar(FF,not the theme from Winestripe)...either cutting off the top pixel or just displaying a solid color.
I need to contact the maker of either Winestripe or NativeXP for FF themes because they have come the closest I have found to getting FF to work with WB.

EDIT: I've found the solution ...ok,what was the solution?
I've only enlarge the rectangular with gradient color and i've added some pixels at right in the painting margins of text in start popup menus ![]()

(is not perfect but it go well)

For Firefox i must change the favorites menu background ![]()

While your fix may work in those 2 sections, this menu background is also used in other places on the startpanel.
Like here:

I have the line exactly where I want it here.

Yes, there no problem ![]()
The problem now is the menuitem, at the left is cut off, but the margins and transparent are ok

EDIT: No, my error with text margins....ufff...this is the signal that i need a break

Hopefully Neil can get each different type of menu to skin independently, for proper skinning it is the only way to go.. if possible, meantime I suggest not using sectional menus, keep em plain and simple.
More's the pity.

The cutoff mouseover in post 15...whatever your left content margin is,make the right the same NEGATIVE amount and it will come back onto the menu.
I know thats not very intuitive but it works.WB can have some crazy behavior sometimes. ![]()

Yep, and in many other places they are reversed too!
