ObjectDock Plus not staying "Always on top"

Saturday, July 11, 2009 by Zxurian | Discussion: ObjectDock

I have ObjectDock Plus, which according to Impulse, is at it's latest version.

I have it set to only contain SystemTray Icons, as I don't use a taskbar at all and would just like to keep my system tray icons at the top.

The "Positioning" tab is set to Edge of screen: Top, as well as Interaction: Keep on top.

It will stay on top of other windows for a period of time, but then dissappear, and i'll have to minimize all of my open windows, click once on it, and then it will be back on top of other windows.

Is this a bug that it's not staying on top, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Maybe having many other windows slows OD+ files cycling and that prevents it from being on top...especially if you don't have a lot of RAM? Try clearing the cache.

Just a guess...and probably wrong.

You should post your sysinfo....OS, RAM, etc.

I think it may be a bug. I have trouble keeping it on bottom, and it's very random. I have several tabbed docks and every once in a while, one of them will pop on top and stay that way until I reset the setting.

I have a similar problem from time to time. A dock that I want to stay in the background when inactive tends to go to "stay on top" at random. i think it's a bug.
