Done With Windows

I've been a Windows user for years, I mean the first computer I ever had was a Windows OS, but I put Linux Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope on dual boot, the day I posted that "Removing and Changing Shortcut Arrow" tutorial, and I've been messing with the OS ever sense that post (well mainly sense I got back from vacation) and I love it, the special effects, it's never crashed on me, even with all the programs running, and 2 other operating systems going on the virual machine. It amazed me really fast, but then again my vista os crashes on me alot, and I don't know why, no viruses, or anything, and it's clean as can be, and doesn't get hot, just the programs go really high in CPU, and Memory Usage.
Not to mention I've found every program I wanted like Cinelerra (Alternative to After Effects), GIMP (Alternative to PhotoShop), Blender (Alternative to 3ds max, maya, and cinema 4d), FAUmachine (Similar to Microsofts Virtual PC), and so on.
Basically you're not gonna see much posts from me again, I'm not gonna say why the reason before was, cause it deals with a lot of drama, and also I forgot my password, but now I'm just gonna kick back, and spend time with my girl, my family, enjoy the summer, enjoy the Linux OS, keep up on my job, and so on.

Oh and I took my aspab test (Deals with teh Army, long story), and got an 83% So I'm happy

My first computer came with a proprietary operating system that you loaded from ROM so that you could read programs from cassette tapes! Which made walking to school in the snow, up hill both directions even more annoying.

It 'came' with a paperclip for punching out the little holes in the cards....

You were lucky to have that technology... most from that era were still using the abacus and a stick to write their answers in the sand.

he lies....he only had some shells strung on string......and the dander from his parrot that he used to shake over the ground and scratch the answers in with the clipped claws of the poor bird....

That was 'most' from the era... my first experience of such technology was when I had to press my nose up against the glass at an internet cafe, in the hope I could see a computer through the window. I was never allowed inside! Something to do with curried cabbage gas, they said.
Um, correcshun! That wur Cap'n Addemup. Back in them thar days I couldn' afford a damn parrot.... wot I 'ad wos an old crow wot squawked ev'ry time I counted 10 dubloons, then I'd 'ave ter add up tha squawks an' x10 ter git me total.
Weren't real ackurite, tho... which is prob'bly why I couldn't afford a damn parrot.

As an ex Army pimp, an 83 is fine as long as you have a diploma or a HS senior who will graduate, other wise it doesn't mean anything.

If I put my hands in my pockets and took off my shoes/socks I could count to 21. 
Sometimes 23, sometimes only 20... depending on how cold it was.

It's been 30 years but the one I took was asVab and WOM's right....the Army required a High School diploma or equal whereas the Marines made sure you could sign your own name. Take care & good luck

Circus??? Back in my day, the only circus-type entertainment we got was going down to the waterhole when the Wooly Mammoths were bathing... watching the bubbles erupt when one of 'em farted.
