This is very strange...

Ok i've made a wallpaper for my next skin but i don't like it, seems undefined and for days i've try to improve the wallpaper but see these images:

This is the visualization full screen with the standard photo show of windows, the resolution is perfect but when i apply the wallpaper on my desktop here what i see:

The wallpaper is completely undefined....now how is possible this thing?
The images is 1440 x 900 and my monitor is 1440 x 900

Vista or XP? If it's Vista, how are you applying it? You should apply it via the personalization panel instead of Set as Desktop Background like you would in XP. That borks it up in Vista.

You are right messiah1, i've try to apply the wallpaper with windowblinds and the image is perfect, while if i use "set as desktop background" the image is undefined...i am on vista....thanks for your help!

Vista's set as background function somehow lowers the quality of the wall, major bug I discovered a while back.. hopefully its fixed in 7.

I have to say that I like them both either way. All you can do is keep trying until you think you get it right. I think you can do it. I have tried submitting wallpapers several times but it keeps saying that I have to change my name on my account and I am not going to do that so no one ever sees them so I finally stopped trying. I hope we get to see your wallpaper when you are satisfied with it. I would like to see your final results. To me it looks good.

When I had vista home premiun on my machine I didn't see that problem. Windowblinds worked perfectly and the walls applied the nicely in that case but try to do it by right clicking on the desktop...no way. What I did was hover my mouse over the image and it was applied automatically from within the wallpaper folder. Doing it through the properties window was a real pain the butt. I think the wb version was 5.0 two years ago. I thought that kinda strange to work like that.

This wall looks awesome
When is it going to be up?
Infact what you're calling undefined appeals more to me ![]()
BTW, go to Personalize, desktop background, choose the option that best suits you, thats what we have to do usually if on Vista as vStyler mentions "Vista's set as background function somehow lowers the quality of the wall"
for putting it up, try rendering the image at a higher resolution or HD 1920x1080p

Thanks amitsaran, it's included in my next blind "Simplicity" that i'll release in one or two weeks
The problem that messiah and vstyler have reported is true, with the function "set as background" some images are shown with low quality (i've try various images)...if i set the wallpaper with personalization panel or through wb the problem don't exist...strange but true...anyway now it's all ok and i've learn a new thing ![]()

This is gonna be a killer blind Sc4rfy. Could be you could use one or the other as a substyle
A suggestion. Or...this is just for fun...do a substyle using...oh what the heck do you call it...ummm...damned if I can remember...it's a reverse of the colors...what do you call that

I'm not sure that i've understand your words
(my english is not perfect)
You mean a substyle for the wallpaper or for the blind? because if you mean a substyle of the blind with the colors inverted is not so easy ![]()
