Why would you be afraid of death? It would be an inconvenience. I have a lot of undone things and it's bound to get in the way. But, no, it doesn't scare me at all.
David Carradine

You know, I've never actually really believed that death is inevitable. I just think it's a rumor.
David Carradine

There's an alternative. There's always a third way, and it's not a combination of the other two ways. It's a different way.
David Carradine

A shame he's gone. I will miss him.

*Citing unidentified police sources, the Thai English-language newspaper The Nation has reported that Carradine was found hanged in a luxury hotel room and died as a result of a suicide, though other sources say he died of natural causes.

well, it is possible that falling into a curtain drawcord and having it wrap around your neck would be deemed natural..

"It's not dying that bothers me...it's the not being here anymore that sucks."

When ever someone, anyone dies, by what ever means, it is a sad day.

It has been said that the talented, gifted and intellectual amoung us do lead somewhat of an misunderstood and at times tortured life.  It would also appear that for all his following of his chosen beliefs, at the end, something was so troubling that he just could not handle one more day.

I hope he has found a calmer and better place.

One assigns credibility by source...not the most reliable in this case (Thai Newspaper I've never heard of based on maybe a maid's description while frightened/shocked....who knows?).

And the 'how' really doesn't interest me. Seen too many 'hows'.

It's a shame he's gone. One of the few actors that seemed genuine.

Hard to belive he would have hung himself.

Yeah, I just read the news on Yahoo and it came as quite a shock... it's not something I'd ever have expected.  Davaid Carradine always came across as being as cool as cucumber and in control (TV interviews, etc), but obviously he was troubled underneath and felt it was too hard to bear.

I lost my younger brother to suicide almost 8 years ago, so whenever I read/hear of things like this it touches me and I can not help but shed a tear for the family, knowing the torment mine went through.  RIP Gideon.... RIP David Carradine.

I grew up to Kung-Fu when I was a kid in Sunderland, Great Britain, I broke my foot at 9 years old practising one of his kicks at school...I then moved to South Africa, who in 1975 didn't have telly yet, they got it at the end of  1975, one of the first shows they got, Friday night viewing was Kung-Fu, dubbed into Afrikaans...into the 1980's, I was a teenager, and as you know, some people try dope, well the guy we got our dope from in our suburb of Berea, Johannesburg, South Africa was the guy caught selling a small bank bag of dope to, grass I am talking about, you guessed it, David Carradine, they were both arrested and took downtown, obviously, being South Africa at the time, apartheid was in its prime, ....so to cut a long story short, David, being white, got a smack on the wrist, as most the cops smoked themselves in those days, and sent on his way......He has had his ups and downs in life, and he has made some great shows, but I will always know him as Grasshopper, what I call my Son, at age 20 by the way, and for being the coolest guy to get bust buying some dope in our surburb.....Mr Carradine, may you rest in peace my friend, and may your passing in this way not cause your family more pain than it has to, love you lots Mr Carradine, you are and always will be a legend, rest in Peace Grasshopper, rest in peace, may your journey you never ever finished on your show Kung-Fu finally be at an end.......

This may be insensitive on my part but i have a hard time feeling sorry for a guy who accidently hangs himself while he's jerking off. Read the news. You want to get off all kinky-like, then shove a carrot up your ass... don't put rope or cord around your neck. He died from Auto-erotic asphyxiation.

Kung Fu always a firm favourite in our household & Kill Bill terrific...he certainly made an impact...

it all sounds a bit funny to me... 2 weeks into a new job he was looking forward to...more work lined up....   not really adding up yet...suppose more will be revealed over time...

anyway...farewell grasshopper...

Don't get me wrong, i still think it's sad, i just think he's an idiot at the same time. How would you people feel if he died playing a game of russian roullette? It's the same thing.
