In the last poll on WinCustomize we asked if you have downloaded Windows 7 RC. Judging by the results, the answer is an overwhelming yes.
This week I wanted to expand on that and ask if you are interesting in customizing the visual look of Windows 7, with applications such as WindowBlinds.

i highly doubt that.
I haven't seen the link but if VMWare put out the image you could rest assured that it is legit to do so.
Vmware did NOT put it out. It's a hack using the freely available vmware runtime components.

Sorry, but that's a hugely flawed argument. You could as well state that rape is legal as long as noone threaten with a law suite.

Here's a snippet from the terms of use on the download site for the windows 7 RC:
Here's a LINK, you can check it out yourself.... So, please tell me where in the license agreement of the Windows 7 RC you found the statement that it's allowed to reproduce or redistribute it? As far as I know Windows 7 does NOT include any such statement, and as such is covered by the general terms of use.
The image IS illegal. I don't think Microsoft is going to start chasing people redistributing a publicly available release candidate though, but that fact doesn't make it legal.

Po - refer to my reply in the post from the last poll. You don't have to download the Win7 RC from Microsoft... you can download a pre-built VMware virtual machine with Win7 RC already installed in it. You can download the free VMware Player software for your Vista PC to run the free VM on it. No changes to your existing OS or hardware, and no conflicts with the beta/RC OS! It's a perfect world.
Well, with the exception of being illegal, I'm quite sure it can be done that way...
