Happy Mothers Day everyone, Have a lovely day to all you mums out there

I ALMOST got flowers! (The florist dropped off an arrangement for my next door neighbor, but she was gone, so they left her arrangement for me to deliver to her).
It was a very pretty arrangement...I was starting to feel sorry for myself, and then I remembered....oh yeah...at least my children are still alive. There are mothers everywhere whose soldiers never made it back from the war, whose despondent children attempted suicide and succeeded, whose children were killed in car accidents, or just went missing and were never found again. I feel really fortunate. I have three children, all alive, who love me very much, and show me every day how much they care.
Screw the florists. I have all I need.

I got a lovely hand picked roses given to me by my grandaughter who is 5, these are the roses I got, at least when they die ill have the pics for ever something to look back on ...

thanks...and Happy Mum's day to you too Mrs Starkers...and Karen..and all the WC mums 
spent the night before at my Mums...and she woke me up with morning tea....and toast & vegemite cut into soldiers....and cooked me lunch...and made sure I ate all my vegies.....amazing...suppose we never stop being Mums....even at 92.... 
..I always do the Mother's Day lunch....so she got quite a kick out of doing it for me this year.
I got to decork the bubbly though...not quite enough strength in the wrists these days....glad I could do something...

thank you sydneysiders, it sounds like you had a wonderfull time on mothers day, mine was quiet and spent with starkers and our son.

My mother passed 16 years ago and I miss her every day. To the rest of you mothers who are under paid, over worked and under appreciated......I salute you.

My son took me to a movie...the new Star Trek. What an awesome movie!
