Kitten Currency

With the world economic crisis destroying what little value our money has, and banks making a hash of our finances, it seems to me now is the time for an alternative.
Enter Kitten Currency. Everything has a kitten value and all you do is exchange goods/services for kittens.
No more greedy banks, no more inflation, no more exchange rate fluctuations. All you have are nice, furry, friendly kittens. And the more you keep them, the more they grow - much better than bank interest rates.
If you dream of winning the lottery when you go to bed, you can dream of kittens instead. What could be nicer?
The world would be a much better place without money, and an even better place full of kittens.

i found a little kitten yesterday who strayed too far from his home....so i took him home, gave him some fish, and milk then he slept in my lap for an hour before i had to take hiim back to his mother (i know where they live)......id have kept him, but we arent allowed pets and he is from a stray cat family ........still broke me heart though

A nice idea, but it's nothing new. People have been bartering animals for centuries to obtain goods and services....
Farmers worldwide have been bartering pigs and chickens...
Red Indians exchanged buffalo...
The Ancient Egyptians traded cats and dogs both large and small...
And the oldest profession has been trading pus..... er, you know wot I mean, since the dawn of time. 
Well I'll raise you two moggies and see your tabby.
