as a long time fan of the great Z71 and all his skins...i am dissapointed with this one...LIGHT MARK...i am a skinner myself and i tend to nitpick my own skins to death. im not claiming to be a great skinner by any means i am however claiming to have an eye for detail and i just wanted to ask or to see if anyone else with the new skin "LIGHT MARK has seen the same things as i have

I don't see your problem on my Vista or XP machines. I would suggest deleting the skin and installing it again.
Phoon is right if you have problems with a skin contact the author first.

Way to make someone with apparent legitimate concerns look like an asshole Fuzzy. Class act mate I can't wait until you spell something incorrectly.
Since when are folks required to contact artists privately with bug reports? I know mine have been pointed out many a time with no one casting aspersions at those OP's.
Receiving public critique comes with the territory.
As far as OP goes.. as far as I can see the bugs look legitimate to me, It's especially disturbing to see a Master use images from another skin, and if their not.. they are pretty damn close. Shouldn't we hold skinners with Master status more accountable or should we ridicule folks that point out their shortcomings?

It has been pointed out many times that moderation issues should be dealt with by pm. If there are issues with this skin which may, or may not be genuine, then there is no need to publically vilify the skinner involved.
What about this message is not getting across?

Receiving public critique comes with the territory.
True statement...however, this is the first time I can remember a thread started to point out specific bugs/critique a Master skin. It would be more appropriate to do this in the skin comments section as they are normally done.
The thread has potential for turning nasty because of it's visibility whereas both you and Ross are used to getting (and dealing with) critical comments in the skin comment section.

As far as I know skin bugs don't have to dealt with privately.. do they?? Regarding ripped images.. if they are displayed publicly they should be dealt with publicly. Perhaps it'll add some incentive... not to.. for potential future offenders.
I don't suppose they have rules for EX-mods making perfectly good community members feels like assholes eh Fuzzy?
but thats ok.. as you obviously dont give a crap.. just run off at the mouth won't ya .. just petty my man.
I'm not opposed to this being moved to the skin thread but I find the sweep it underneath the rug attitude objectionable. People should be taken to task for wrong doing.... and not privately. Perhaps it might actually do the community some good.
Wow.. i really planned to have a nice evening.

Let's try and keep this post civilized and stop with the personal attacks.
Thank you

The reason this is NOT to be done publicly is that the person may be wrong.......I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate someone publicly calling a portion of one of your skins a rip and then having 20 or 30 people jump on board while you're innocent of what you've been accused of.

Can we end the hostile attitude here?
I don't know how many times I have to repeat this in the last week.
Issues with moderation, whether it's rips, allegations, etc., it needs to go to PM, that's what the system was created for.
If you have a bug issue with the skin, it's best to post in the comments area of the skin, as not everyone reads the forums and will see it, especially with a vague title.

Ive looked at the images.. imo he's not wrong.. too close for comfort for my liking.. and I should know.. I made the originals.
I have never nor would I ever use someone elses work. perhaps thats the difference.
I'm only hostile who those who ridicule people for no reason then finish by acting as though it's funny to them.
Not really.. just petty.

Polite discussion, opinion, and feedback are always allowed and often welcome. Same for differing opinions.
None of us make up the rules for what can and should be posted beyond what is stated in the TOS. Everyone should be cool.
I hope that Ross sells many more of these so that if there is a problem with the skin, it can be vetted by others and corrected or that if it is something specific to jojo's PC confic *IT* can be identified to be fixed.
As good an artist as Ross is, I'll bet he'd like to know about any possible issues so he can correct them.

I am dissapointed as well.
This is the third thread I have seen recently where matters best left to the mods or the responsible artist(s) is dredged out in the forums. One thread had to come 'after' the fact.
When I think of 'community', I think of 'helpful, supportive, freindly' (unl;ess of course, skinhit is involoved, but I digest). Bashing, accusing, and going right over the heads of those that can properly adress these matters is not what I think of when I think of 'community'.
Since I am NOT a mod (there would be such a cry from Australia were I made one, I am sure you would hear it in Guelph, Ontario. *jk) I can only sit back and watch and hope enough people (including those who feed the negativity) get tired of seeing them.
To say something 'appears to be a copy' is not only inflamatory but reckless. If you have proof it is, go to the artist or a mod. Why would you even consider bashing and defaming the artist in an open forum on something you would say 'appears' to ba a copy. How would you feel if someone went through your gallery and said 'This and that appear to be copies" in the open forums? Wether they were or not, whether you could prove it or not, I am sure it would be disheartening to you.
sigh. pffft. I apologize for the short rant. Anyone who knows me though, know I could go on and on and on...
I'm just to frustrated to put any more words together.

Go ahead... I make computer graphics for a living, you wont find anything questionable in my galleries..period... I know better.. maybe some folks don't? I would be ashamed to post something that wasn't penned by my hand.
but thats ok.. everyone make us the bad guys because of course...I wouldn't expect anything less.

I've yet to purchase this one but don't you think it was rather rude of you to do this to Z71 instead of contacting him first?
