can these colors be changed

Nope, you'll run into problems in several apps using black buttons too.

yeah black and blue, red buttons is a no go 
or maybe a substyle for the calculator 
......@cplair - nah his coding was more like a suggestion not a constant... and its what we coders call spaghetti code... goto(white);

I believe they are hard coded and therefore cannot be changed.
