Blank Spaces where items are closed

I'm using 537u on vista 64 on an HP dv5t. Basically, there are spaces that begin appearing were items should have been closed or are open in the background. This can also add up. This may be tied to sleep in some way. It only appears on my my 64-bit hp and not my 64-bit dell. Restarting OD or changing some settings within OD seems to reset it were the blanks are gone.
Hopefully you guys have seen that. If not, I'd be willing to try a recent beta to try to replicate the process to see if it will still be there. Let me know.

You might want to be a bit more explanative and include a screenshot of the problem. I for one have no idea what you are talking about.

Figured it out...but no solution yet. Somehow, Mozilla's Thunderbird (using the beta version) is not loading into OD correctly. It simply leaves a blank spot where and icon should be. After closing it, the spot remains with the thunderbird text as well. This only occurs on my wife's computer. Firefox does not have any problems like this. If thunderbird is closed, I can restart OD and those spots will disappear. If thunderbird is running, I can restart and then the proper icons appear. Any clues? I found another thread where this was left unanswered as being a 64 bit problem...which may not be the reason for this problem.

Here's a half fix...there needs to be an update for option b:
A) if you use thunderbird (or firefox) that has this problem, do the following:
1) create thunderbird.bat
(right click, new, text document, then rename the file thunderbird.bat, you'll have to have your extentions showing)
2) add the following:
start C:\"Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"
3) save
4) drag the batch file to od
5) right click on it and select dock entry properties
6) Change the icon, and run minimized (this keeps the black box from popping up)
Now thunderbird works as it should
If you use Thunderbird through your calendar link (like I do)
1) follow steps 1-3 above
2) right click the calendar and select dock entry properties
3) select the batch file as the link...or just change .exe to .bat
This allows thunderbird to work, but you will have a black box pop up for a very short period of time.
