Strange vertical line(s) & a pink frame
Help in skinning first WB
Sunday, January 18, 2009 by zigboom | Discussion: Skinning
I'm almost done with my first WB project. I only have two issues that i cannot figure out. The first one is a vertical line that appears on the left side of the throbber and between the go button and the links toolbar. The first thing i thout about was that it's the vertical seperator but i painted it all magic pink and it's not visible anywhere else.
The second thing is a pink square around the menu item on windows explorer in case there are many windows that are joined into one on the taskbar.
Anyway the screenshots show both cases.
Hope someone could help me to find the source of this two objects and to skin it properly.
Thanx in advance.

hi zigboom,
1. the solution to that line is in your defined system colours, its part of the system colours, change the colour of either of these one by one to a psycho colour like fluro green or pink (something that your gonna see when you change it)
button highlight, button shadow, buttondrkshadow, buttonlight. imsorry i gave you a bit of a list, but i never remember which one it is, until im actually working in that section. this will solve that problem, but also be aware that changing these colour could affect your disabled font settings in drop down menus.........so you have to choose your colours wisely.
2. the second prob is easier, just change your menu item to png, not bmp and remove the pink and check transparent parts and alpha channel parts on the image in skinstudio and you should be fine.
