How to get my submission in the gallery??

Thursday, January 8, 2009 by Blackthorn87 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I just wanted to know how do I get my submission to show up in the gallery when I search for it? Or does it need to be downloaded a certain amount of times, or something similar?

All submissions go thru a moderation process, where the mods will decide if it is acceptible to the temrs of the site upload policies. If accepted they will be either posted in the main gallery for Public consumption or in the authors personal pages, depending on moderator judgement.  Submissions are moderated and voted on by the mods, the Majority vote deems the placement within the Public or personal Library.

Some Galleries Like walls are more heavily moderated in the essence that they must meet a tighter criteria to gain Public acess.

You should only have to type in the name of the item or your nick in to the search bar to find your items. Once they have gone thru moderation. Also searching from within the Forums will not yeild results in Skin libraries as they are 2 separate search functions. You will need to start a search from within the skin library to find skins.

Thanks for the quick reply.  The reason I asked was that 2 of my recently uploaded submissions only appear in my personal gallery and not in the public gallery, can people still see them if they look at my personal gallery?

Yes. Also you can also post links to your personal gallery in your skins descriptions, so that way any one viewing a skin of yours that makes it to public library, will have a link they can follow to your personal one.

Thank you very much for the information.  But how do I edit my submissions description without having to re-upload them, and also in the description field you aren't allowed html so how do I put a link in there?

Just hit the edit button on you submission, change the text and hit submit. As long as you dont reupload the file itself, it's instant.

Inserting a link is easy, just paste the address in with your text, once you hit submit, it automatically makes it a link....try it, you wont break anything.

This won't help you get into the gallery, but it will show you that you are not alone. You are in very good company. go here: link  and pick up your award.
