I use Impulse and I see DesktopX not DesktopX Pro. The verison of DesktopX Impulse shown is 3.50.060 last updated 8/5/08.
I hope this information will help. You can also right click on the upper left qlobe of Impulse and chose the update option or

I have OD Ultimate and I thought DesktopX Pro as a component. Impulse also shows DesktopX 3.50.060-8/5/08. My problem is when trying to export a widget that I made as a gadget, I get this error message. What's up? Is Standard or Pro included with OD Ultimate?

DesktopX Pro is a seperate purchase. DesktopX may come with ODNT Ult. but in it's basic version. I have Pro, but Impulse shows me DesktopX. .Pro costs a little more than the standard. ![]()

Jim is right ObjectDesktop comes with the standard version of DX you have to purchase DX Pro to be able to make a gadget

OK, the full price of ODNT DX Pro is like $70.00. Is there a discounted upgrade price for OD Ultimate users?

I have a ticket into sales Doc. I'll let all know what comes out on this issue.

So it's the full $70 to add one function over standard, when standard is already in OD Ultimate?..............whew, to steep for me Zub.

You think that is steep Angus. When DX Pro was first released it was well over $400. I had my employer purchase it.
The next year (I believe) the price was lowered to this.

Phoon . . I remember those days. The wife was NOT interested in allowing that. However . . when it dropped I was able to use the argument that is was 3.5(x) and now it was "only (x). ![]()
I still wasn't allowed to buy it of course . . . ![]()

Latest version of DesktopX STANDARD in Impulse: 3.50.060
Latest version of DesktopX PROFESSIONAL in Impulse: 3.50.016
Different version numbers for different products.
DesktopX Pro is definitely not a product for the light user or hobbyist. The fact that you can create a gadget and export it as a standalone application, that doesn't require DesktopX to be installed on the machine to run, makes it a pretty powerful application development platform. This is what gives it the steep upgrade price.

That's what I have, Automan. Say, do you remember the old series called Automan? I loved it!
