Windowblinds doesn't cooperate with Firefox under Vista

menus are all screwy.

Tuesday, December 23, 2008 by jook11 | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Sorry if this has been answered. I tried searching firefox vista windowblinds and got a million results with this: "Firefox 3.0 goes final and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 17th. ... Vista screenshot > Download: @ Price: Free! Wooohooo!"

Completely useles.

Anyway, I can't use windowblinds on either of my vista machines because Firefox's menus don't show right. That is, things that should appear form teh entire menubar "File, Edit, View, etc"

I either get a blank box that should be the menu stretching across the top of the screen (but it's blank) or a huge box covering the entire screen (Which is still blank)

I can't get a screenshot right now because I'm on my 64-bit machine and WB6 doesn't seem to want to apply any visual style except color variations on "classic" which it does no matter what theme I apply. Running "x64.exe" in the windowblinds install directory fixed this the first time it happened, but not now.

What's going on here?

What version of WindowBlinds are you using? and is your 64 bit Vista or XP?

Windowblinds 6 on both machines. One is a dual-boot 32-bit XP and Vista. Windoblinds works jsut fine under XP there. The other machine is a 64-bit Vista. Windowblinds freaks out on both versions of vista.

The latest version 6.3 works well on FireFox 3.0.5 with Vista 32 and 64 bit. If you are able to update using Impulse that should solve your issue.

Updating to 6.3 took care of it on the 32-bit system. I haven't had a chance to get back to the 64-bit machine yet, but I have high hopes now.

Thanks for your help.
