I did! Must've worked as well... didn't get a card or Xmas phone call from her... again. ![]()
Oh, wait a minute, I haven't heard from her in near on 25 years so it was to be expected.
She frequently used to keep popping up like a bad smell until I angrily told her one day that I'd never ever forgive her for deserting 2 our young children (our daughter was just days old at the time) a few years earlier I've not heard from her since, so obviously she was there to see me and not for the kids sakes, and if I have to wait another 20 something years to hear from her again it'll be too soon.
Hehe, what goes around comes around... while my 32 y/o son sort of tolerates her in very, very small doses if she pops up like a bad smell at his place, my daughter (now 28) refuses to have anything to do with her and calls mrs starkers mum.

And you only know half of the half Immy didn't know, Doc....
The local council also wanted to put up a checkpoint and boom gate... to bar entry to those not carrying gas masks and other appropriate safety equipment.

Yeah, doing her own thing was more important... so I became mother and father to both my son and daughter. It wasn't easy doing it alone, but I have no regrets and wouldn't hestitate to do it again. Thankfully, my kids are the complete opposite of their mother and are great parents who love their chilren to no end... so I guess I must've done something right for them to turn out to be the good people they have become... and who I'm so proud of.

Ah, so that's why the authorities came around to confiscate the BBQ... anything else with a naked flame. ![]()
Hehe, that's probably why they scrapped the whole thing... there was NO feasible way to contain them. ![]()

My mother is the same as your ex, she dumped me and my 2 brothers in homes when we were babies, I wouldn't know where she is, or even if she's alive, and I couldn't give a sh!t ![]()
..well.. maybe I do deep down.

That's so sad that you and your brothers had to go through that ordeal and i feel for you all, knowing what my kids went through. My kids always had me, but they missed having a caring mother to love them as well, and that was hard on them, especially when other kids would talk about their mothers, etc.
I suppose the one good thing to come out of it is their greater determination to love, protect and care for their kids to the best of their ability... something I am most grateful for because my grandkids will never be left wanting.
Hehe, served with a plate of curried cabbage and I'd be in 7th heaven.
