Disable objectdock autohide animation
Friday, December 12, 2008 by tbob20 | Discussion: ObjectDock
I upgraded to the latest Objectdock (free) and cannot figure out how to disable the autohide pop-up animation. On the older version there was an option something like "Fast but jumpy" and "Re-show instantly" and it would instantly show up when the mouse floated over it (and was much faster). Now there is an animation when it pops up it can get sluggish at times and I cannot figure out how to disable it.
Thanks.

I set it to "Very fast" and it still slides up and down with animation. Once the dock is showing it runs fine, but just during that "slide up" its a bit choppy when I have a lot of programs open.
Is there no way to shut it off completely? I might just switch back to the old one if that is so.

There currently is not a way to have it show instantly. I can set this down as a user request for any future editions. Just as a "make sure" check are your video drivers up to date? What kind of hardware is this being run on?

Video drivers and every other driver is up to date (including all of the windows updates).
My computer specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate
4gb DDR2 PC6400 (800mhz)
Pentium Dual-Core e2140 (running at 3.0ghz)
Geforce 9600gt 512mb
Running 1920x1200 with two monitors (3840x1200)
Four Seagate 750gb HDD's
Just to point out the older version runs perfect no matter what I'm running, I never see a slow down.
Also it might be worth mentioning I do have a lot of links on the dock (about 60).
