Do you have the fancy glass windows or more flat boring ones?
You can turn on Aero Glass by doing the following - Right Click on the Desktop and click Personalize. Click Visual Appearance ->Open Classic Appearance Properties. Ensure that Windows Cista Aero is selected and click OK. Now click the checkbox next to Enable Transparent Glass and click OK.

Please disreguard this post. I will use the other one. This is new to me. I've never used a forum before and did not know what I was doing. BUT I'M LEARNING. Thanks and sorry for the mixup.

is the DWM service started on teh serviec tab?
