T34 vs Tiger Tank Game

This game that is being sold on Impulse states that it requires a 3.0 Ghz CPU. Is that possible or could it be a typo? I use a single core 32 bit Athlon 3200 2.2 Ghz. Most other games I see in the same genre don't have such high requirements.

In my experience, most games that specify a minimum CPU speed were made with the assumption that you have a P4 in mind. Some of the newer ones have actually tried to specify this as well, when they're particularly high end, but more and more, clock speed simply doesn't matter.
So an A64, even at 2.2, should be more than sufficient.
Considering the video requirement listed for T34 is a GeForce 6600+/Radeon 9600+, I wouldn't be too worried about it.
For the record, all the Athlons are 64-bit...just because you're running a 32-bit OS doesn't make your CPU 32-bit, too.

Thanks guys. I think my systems is probably way too old and under powered for this one. This is a socket A board with an Athlon 3200, 400FSB, 2Gb DDR (dual channel), AGP nVidia GeForce 7300GT w/512 Mb. DirectX 9c. Windows XP SP2 fully patched. I seem to falling through a hole with games that interest me. They either don't work anymore like MS Links or they need more than my system will handle.
Thanks for your time answering.

Yeh John, I'm going to put them all over the place. Now that's an idea!

Exactly. The number behind the processor name is actually ment for referance. So an athlon 3200 as good as a p4 with 3.0 ghz.

After reading the description, I'd have to imagine that's not a typo. With all the physics required, and what looks like pretty sharp graphics......it probably eats CPUs for breakfast......
