Well Bebi, with the following quote of what is listed under interests on his personal site, I wouldn't waste another breath on this one. "The people in here are in one BIG click, they all vote for one another, but not for the person who really works hard. I am done with this place...". Bye-bye DUDE! No tears shed hear.

People can upload for whatever reason they want.

Quite true ID but why would he want to with the type of attitude he displays on his site?

For quite some time this was disabled on WC and only led to a white screen. I see it has been reversed.
and I now agree that this is a very prudent move on your behalf to safeguard your downloads.
The only potential problem I could foresee....is that the mods....seeing 'the DEMO' splashed across your walls...may be waiting on the real thing...

'damaging' the preview image with the word 'demo' is more likely to see your submission rejected or at best relegated to your personal pages.
There IS no issue with right-click/saving vs normal download, certainly not in a "safeguard" sense.
Your uploads are accessible to the public either way, as is your theoretical intent by their very existence here.
The preview image is typically a 'smaller' resolution whereas the file download [archive] would contain the other/larger sizes...![]()

I think Jafo really explains it the best here. The intent of the site is to make your work available for download by the public. Otherwise, the devs could easily block right-click downloading; it's a matter of using one or more of dozens of easily-available scripts in different scriptiing languages.

If all you care about is download/comment count, why bother uploading anything at all if that's your single motivation? Spare the gallery your "10 min creations" and create a deviantart account where you'll get a bunch of comments and no moderation.
Would also be a lot easier to make sense out of your posts if they were more carefully articulated and planned out paragraphs. They all seem to be a run-on of a bunch of different and random nonsense and complaints.
