I lost my logon screen

I had to go into safe mode to restore my computer. That worked fine but in the process I lost the logon screen in regular mode.
I still have a logon screen in safe mode. Not sure what happened. I can't figure out how to correct this problem.
I could use a little help,

I'm the only user.
The problem again is after rebooting from safe mode I get the boot up screen but no logon screen, just gives me a black screen.

you have show the welcome checked in user accounts area, yes?
when it comes up black, what happens if you hit ctrl+alt+del twice?
does the default logon show?

Okay I am back and with a very red face I might add.
My problem was all due to being to quick to download Deskscape without reading all of the posts in the forum.
I have an AGP card. and it just messed up my system something bad. I had to reboot into safe mode and restore back to Tuesday. That went okay, but when I rebooted back into normal mode I had no logon screen, just a nice blank screen, no cursor no nothing. Went back into safe mode and had a logon screen which really confused me. Got into logonstudion and changed back to default with no problem. Still no logon screen in normal mode. Even doing the ctrl+alt+del didn't work.
Well to make a long story short, if you have an AGP card downloading and running Deskscapes right now screws up your video card drivers. Don't panic, as I did, but just boot back into safe mode and reload your video card drivers and all will be well.
I quess what they say is true, there isn't a day in your life that you don't learn something. I thought once I retired I would be done with all of that.

i lost my cell phone last week and after 5 days of
messin' around and got a new one

the lost one an hour later

That's strange.
Maybe all your users are hidden? Not sure.
Ctrl+Alt+Del logon still works though, right?
