And one of the best things about it is that there are a lot of skins that match windowblinds skins

Yeah....Now I gotta figure out how to skin this puppy!

I do hope some of the really talented folks like WG do start skinning WinStep. The future's bright! WG- Jorge will set you up with anything you need.

One thing I failed miserably to mention: Jorge is a truly great guy. He responds to every question sent, though almost never makes home service calls.

The promotion sponcered by Bits du Jour is already over, but I've decided to extend the offer for another 24 hours on the Winstep web site.

So, if you're one of those who missed this incredible deal yesterday, you have one final opportunity to purchase Winstep Xtreme for only $19.95 until midnight today (November 8th).

Thanks for all the thumbs up and to all those who registered (and are still registering Xtreme) yesterday and today.

Here's something else you might like to read as a preview of things to come:

Sweet, Jorge. Looks a bit like "Theme Manager" for WSX (WinStep Extreme).

Just keeps getting better. Does this mean apps like browsers will be 'skinned' also by WSX?

This is awesome! Does "A taste of things to come" mean that the next thing we know it'll be cooking dinner too?

You guessed it: ChefSTEP Extreme!

Estou brincando

Isso é maravilhoso, meu amigo!

Nope.

"A taste of things to come" mean that the next thing we know it'll be cooking dinner too?
And making your toasts and coffee in the morning.    Era bom! Hehe.
Can winstep xtreme be updated through Impulse?
Winstep Xtreme has its own automatic self update mechanism.

For those who have not tried the software, I have one two words - simply amazing! I've been using the software for many years now. Great updates Jorge! I'm hoping to upgrade to the newest versions as soon as there are a few dollars to spare here.

Are there any tutorials on skinning this? And WOW....the taste of things to come looks really cool!

There's a very old tutorial on the Help page of the Winstep web site, but some of the information in it, particularly in what concerns WorkShelf, is now a bit incorrect. You will find plenty of information in the NextSTART and WorkShelf User Guides though (just click the Help button in Preferences).

Bottom line, as with everything related to skinning, the best way still is to study existing themes to figure out how the other skinners did it.

Also, feel free to pester me with questions via the Winstep support address and/or Winstep Forums.

Okay, I just upgraded too. It's come a long way over the years and is extremely polished. Looking forward to the configuration overhaul in upcoming releases.

Jorge....thank you. From my other friend and I, well you are the absolute best!

Ok JC....got a question. How do I restore the settings so that when I choose a theme it applies the same top dock as the bottom. It was doing that but for some reason...mostly likely I hit something I didn't want to...it does apply it...it just uses one background and doesn't apply the themes.

Update! Never mind....figured it out.
