Reason why i am in a state of amazement-First Grandchild

I think i have been using this site long enough now to qualify for an announcement LOL, well the announcement is On October 16th 2008, my first grandchild was born, a baby girl, 6lbs,7oz 18" and goes by the name of Chloe, and i am still in a state of amazement, my god what a feeling and nothing better than to share it, now i know how first time grandparents feel and why they brag about it, and this being a great bunch of people on here, i needed to tell all of you,

Hi....jpmurph1 ! Congratulations on the birth of your first granddaughter Chloe. As a grandfather myself, I know exactly what you mean about wanting to brag about it and how it makes me feel. My granddaughter is 8 years old and nothing puts a smile on my face quite like she does...good thing is...the feeling will always stay with you! Congrats again !

Congratulations jpmurph1 I'm a long way off having Grankids yet, my son is only twenty, oh no Twenty, I suppose I'll be having grankids sooner than I thought, but I've seen the smiles and joy grandkids bring to every grandparents, so I'm sure you'll never stop celebrating the Little Godsend that has come your way, congratulations Grandad

Congratulations jpmurph1 !!! Enjoy her as much as you can, because the time just flies by!!! My granddaughter is in 4 year old preschool this year, ande she just loves it!!!

Grand children is like Love doubled over. I have 2 grand daughters Hannah will be 3 and Hayden almost 1. They put smiles on my face every time I see them..which is often since we live 5 miles away. There is nothing better. I LOVE being a grandma!! Congratulations on this amazing journey. Don't blink....

I have four grandchildren, and while the birth of the first was real special - awesome, in fact - that very special feeling was there for the other three, just the same as the first time.... it never goes away.
Conrats on your first, it's great news.

Congrats, They are right, there is nothing like the first one. I think that is always a special bond. I have 7, ages 1-17, hell at both ends now.
