Those doors actually slid out away from the car a bit and then back towards the rear.

The actual number (.137) was better than an F-15 Jet.
Some aspects of this car are super ugly, however, it has a certain sleek look to it. I think with some styling adjustments, the Probe V could have been much better than what Ford actually put out as the Probe model.
Also, the Probe was almost released as the next Mustang model. That would have been a serious mistake on the part of Ford. Good thing it never happened.

See, I thought it was built to replace the failed EXP.
You just taught me something dude!
Looks like a chop top custom GTO, maybe a '70 - '72.
Sorta like a hardtop version of the Monkee-mobile?

Modified 68 or 69 Charger would be my guess...fenders look like a Challanger though.

That is a 1969 Ford Super Cobra. Basically started with a Fairlane body. It does look alot like a Charger/Challenger and the front fascia screams Pontiac. But it's all Ford.

Yep! It did turn out to be a total disaster.
I mean even the Pinto had better success than the Probe design.
That's what I was looking at Steve.
And I wouldn't say a Super Cobra whilst this Frankenstein's Monster is more like a damn Anaconda either!
A friggin Fairlane body, who would'a thought!
Tis a beauty though Dawg...

forgot that one...i had a 67 Fairlane 500 with a 390 & 4 speed manual...kept it for about 6 months.....added air shocks, headers, holley 650 w/high rise, a set of Keystone Diamonds 60s rear 70s front then sold it for double what I paid......

Not certain. Perhaps a Lotus Elise SC. All I know for sure is I need to get something soon.

Just kidding, I don't smoke (anymore). Oh, and this was never my car.

Sadly Angus, I've also seen cars like that. Filthy buggers, once, while in the Marines, I saw a brand new Corvette. Looked inside, pile of ashes/cig just like that. Some people.

All so true about guys lookin' at a woman's ass, '68 was indeed the only year they did the round tail lighs and side markers. The front end with the hideaway headlights, the way the gas tank was situated and that killer body still make me weak at the knees.
Yep! Cha-Cha had an under-dash kill switch, I mounted the start button underneath the shag carpet on the left side of the console next to the stick, virtually invisible.
