Sunday, October 12, 2008 by jpmurph1 | Discussion: Community

I purchased the whole kit and kaboodle, objectdock plus, all mycolors themese etc, you guys know the drill, but one thing i hadnt been using was rightclick, as i was using VIsta, and i get a little paranoid, about certain things i put on vista as i use it primarily for keeping personal info etc, well i reformatted and decided to XP and VIsta boot, well it worked out dandy, last night i decided to install RightClick, and hours later i said to myself "self, your a dope for not putting this in sooner smarten up" now i am playing with the settings etc with it, until the Patriots game comes on tonight

It doesn't play well with Vista x64 so stay wary.

AH, good to know Mickeko.  I use Vista Home Premium, 64 bit so that's a good heads up.  Funny how most of the software here says it works with 64 bit Vista but doesn't seem to be so.  Windowblinds is a mess, can't use it and now this.  I was considering it  but I guess I'll hold off running it then.

If Windowblinds isn't working then I'm wondering about MyColors and if that works correctly??

Thanks for the heads up!

Richard

RightClick works fine on Vista64 here, I have been using it for more than a year, and just installed it on a second Vista64-bit system. The only thing that doesn't work on some systems is the WB-skin import feature, which means you have to download and apply the skins manually.

well, it has never worked for me on any of the systems I've installed it on. Rightclick has always opened the regular contextmenu and I've had to right-click again to open the RC-menu. Needless to say it makes the software unusable..

RightClick, next to ObjectDock, is the most usefull app I've got installed from Stardock.  For you WindowBlinds fans, note, I didn't say I didn't like WindowBlinds, but WB isn't "usefull" like RC or OD+.

Have to agree with messiah1.  WindowBlinds allows you to change the look of your desktop, Right Click and Object Dock Plus and I would add Object Bar give you productivity enhancements that tend to make using the computer a lot easier.

I'm in total agreement with messiah, and Philly. Rightclick is just a crazy useful application. And yes Philly, definitely objectbar too. That's also a godsend.
