So... has this topic been resolved or what? I have no use for objectdock as it is now since i have no systray...

I'm using Windows Server 2k8 x64, same problem as everyone else, systray just disappeared one day.

The beta was retracted from Impulse and we are currently working on the fix right now. We hope to have more information soon and I will be sure to post it. Sorry for the wait.

Simple mistake actually. We are testing builds to go public again. However that last test went to public instead of private for in-house testing. It was yanked quickly as it was only up for a few hours. Sorry for the confusion but I at least have proof that we are hard at work on this!

Howdy!

It's been a week since the last post in this thread. Just wondering if there is an update for this issue?

No update for Object Dock at this time. Impulse and Stardock is a whirl of releases at the moment. If I get some solid news I will update as soon as I can. Sorry for the delay.

Two weeks further down the line, any update on this? I'm having a hard time killing and restarting OD+ all the time when I need to click a systray icon.

Hrm... I could swear that there was a posting online somewhere stating that there would be an ObjectDock update available by the end of the month.

Well, it's the end of the month. SD is closed until Dec 1st... Has anyone found the update yet?

Thanks!

I was able to get some info on the matter. The update got pushed back. There is a good deal of discussion on the matter from the higher ups on where to take Object Dock so it is getting full attention. Due to everything being up in the air this is all the information I have at this time (which is why you have not seen much from me on the subject, I don't like posting so little in news).

The moment I hear more, or something more solid I will be happy to update the community if the developers don't do it first.

Thank you for the update seabass. litte info is better than no info at all right? we are to long life in the dark already. no update, no info, nothing. like this objectdock is somehow just a garbage that been forgotten by the developer. Hope its really get full attention right now. long to see the the update. mewnwhile we still can live with the beta

once again thank you for the update mate. better little than no news at all...

Uhm... we are waiting for a bug fix, not new features. There is nowhere to take OD. Just fix what you already have... THEN worry about new stuff.

I think Stardock has been clear about this issue...

We'll have to wait for OD+ 2.0 .... And it'll be released when it's released...

Can't say I like it, but it's how things are, so we'll have to make do with what we got. Atleast they didn't make more promises that would likely be broken by now too.

Mickeko...

I know you don't work for Stardock, but are you saying that anyone with 1.x of ObjectDock will have to pay to have the bugs fixed (If they are indeed fixed in 2.0)?

I *DID* have a working version of ObjectDock 1.9x running on Vista 64bit. Everything worked - system tray, start menu, weather docklet, etc. It worked like that for weeks. Then BLAM, Stardock goes and breaks something and trashes my installation. What's worse is that they won't let me download the working version that I had originally downloaded.

I'm only looking for an update as to what is going on. If getting 2.0 is going to be the fix, then what is the approximate date of it's release? If they are going to patch 1.9x, then give us a rough idea as to when.

I'm saying that I have a feeling they will consider 2.x a major feature upgrade, and charge for it. I don't have *any* information from stardock that confirm or deny it.

I'll know what to do once they release OD+ 2.0. As for when that is, I don't need a date because I wouldn't trust it anyway.

Simon, Stardock made it pretty clear in several threads that OD 1.9x is not a priority for them.  As far as 2.0 goes - no software company will give a release date other than "Soon".  I guess we're all stuck with these systray bugs (Vista 64, Skype, Steam, etc.) until further notice.
