I installed OD+ version available in SDC -v1.90 build 537 and the Systray icons are now showing. Seems there may be an issue with the latest beta of OD+ in Impulse.

all of a sudden? I don't think I've updated in awhile
Reply #6 Saturday, October 11, 2008 1:37 PM
Everytime I've seen this problem posted within the last 6 weeks it has been regarding the 538 build installed with Impulse. If you want, you could try de-installing the 538 build, rebooting and re-installing the 537 build with SDC. It might just solve the problem.

I'm only saying that 'there may be an issue with the latest update' and what I did to try and get the Systray icons showing again. Tech support and/or the developer will be able to determine what is causing this issue with the latest beta version on Impulse.

=0 I thought it was just me. It started happening today after I rebooted.
Running Vista 32bit
OD Plus Version 1.91k[a].025
No SysTray Icons. ![]()
There was no update, just stopped working. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still borked.

MaxMiller1, please try the following:
1) De-install Version 1.91k[a].025(Build 538).
2) re-boot
3) Re-install Version 1.90 (Build 537) with Stardock Central
Post here if this works.

It would be kind of nice if there was some kind of notification about when software get updated...
I don't see a fix btw?
Reply #12 Saturday, October 11, 2008 2:36 PM
AFIK this workaround is not going to work for people running Vista 64.

Try reply #9. As I've indicated it seems to be a problem with build 538 installed through Impulse. The problem doesn't appear with Build 537 installed with Stardock Central as indicated by me, Hankers and now TheD2JBug.

Okay, did what was mentioned in reply #9 and it fixed the problem.
One further heads up. When you do this Impulse will show you that an update is available. I downloaded and it broke OD+ again, so as mentioned by several folks there is a problem with that update.
It is rather strange though because before this morning I had that update loaded and it work fine on my XP system. Could it be that something else changed like maybe an MS autoupdate that is causing the problem? Just a thought.

SDC loader will not start SDC and I see no place at Stardock to get SDC. Links all go to Impulse.
Reply #16 Saturday, October 11, 2008 3:48 PM
where are you guys getting 537 and 538 from? I just had to reinstall OD+ and got 535u according to the About window and on Impulse it says v1.90.033 (8/5/2008).

Here's a link for Stardock Central I found on Cnet. Try it, I think it will work.

I got rid of SDC when Impulse came out. I'll use the link above to get it.
Why doesn't Impulse have these updates if it is the replacement for SDC?

This is not an update. It is a previous version.

Had the problem when I turned on the computer this morning. Worked fine last night. Since it appears to be a problem for everyone using Object Dock Plus who are showing System Tray Icons must have been an update to something.
