Better usability for flyout menus

Hello,
I'm using OD+. Using the flyout menues to navigate a nested folder tree is is quite clumsy. Opening a folder at a deeper level using the mouse means navigating to the entry "Folder:..." at the top of the next submenu and clicking it. Why isn't it possible to open a folder with a simple double click? Opening the next level and the entry "Folder:..." would be unescessary and navigation would become much faster.

While we are at it: I also would love the flyout menus to have an option to make it look like the stacks plugin.
